About PPMC Islamabad Jobs 2026
Power Planning and Monitoring Company (PPMC) is implementing the Electricity Distribution Efficiency Improvement Project (EDEIP) with financing from the World Bank. The project supports performance enhancement and reform initiatives within Pakistan’s electricity distribution companies (DISCOs), including pre- and post-privatization phases.
To support this initiative, PPMC is seeking an experienced Performance Monitoring Specialist on a market-based, project-funded contract.

Performance Monitoring Specialist (Pre & Post-Privatization of DISCOs)
This role focuses on monitoring, evaluation, and performance improvement of electricity distribution utilities, ensuring alignment with policy, regulatory, financial, and operational frameworks.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Applicants must hold:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Energy Engineering Sciences
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Power Systems, or related discipline will be preferred
Required Experience
- Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience in the power distribution sector
- Experience across:
- Utility operations and maintenance
- Technical, commercial, financial, and governance aspects
- Policy formulation and regulatory compliance
- Sector reform and utility privatization (preferred)
Skills & Expertise
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, feeder and transformer-level analytics
- Strong command of performance analytics platforms, automated reporting systems, and data interpretation
- Excellent analytical, presentation, and reporting skills
- Familiarity with World Bank procurement regulations and IPF Borrower frameworks is an advantage
Terms of Engagement
- Assignment Duration: Initially 6 months, extendable up to 2 years based on performance and market-based salary
- Engagement is project-funded and does not imply regularization
- Selection will be conducted under World Bank procurement guidelines (November 2020)
